La película animada “Yellow Submarine, de Los Beatles, estrenada en el año 1968, estará disponible desde el sábado 25 de abril en el canal oficial del popular cuarteto de Liverpool en YouTube.
Así se anunció en las redes sociales del grupo, en donde se destaca que se tratará de la versión proyectada en cines en 2018, al cumplirse 50 años de su lanzamiento, que contenía las letras de las canciones en los subtítulos.
El filme presenta las aventuras del grupo, que debe viajar al país imaginario Pepperland, para salvarla de los Blue Menies, unos seres malvados que privan a la población de la música.
Tanto en el viaje como en la pelea liberada contra el enemigo, Los Beatles viven diferentes aventuras en donde las canciones ocupan un rol central.
En la película dirigida por George Dunning, se interpretan temas como “Yellow Submarine”, “It´s all too much”, “All you need is love”, “Hey Bulldog” y “Only a northern song”, además de algunas piezas orquestales creadas por George Martin, todas ellas incluidas en el disco lanzado como banda sonora.
También se pueden escuchar algunas composiciones de los álbumes “Sargent Pepper´s Lonely Hearts Club Band” y “Revolver”, como “When I´m 64”, “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” y “Eleonor Rigby”, entre otras.
Aunque contó con el aval del grupo, las voces de Los Beatles en la película fueron interpretadas por actores y el cuarteto sólo hace una aparición en un breve gag sobre el final, que sirve de presentación para la canción “All together now”.
